We plugged in, turned on the air conditioning and used the fabulous wifi for the evening after devouring our BBQ on the outside picnic bench with 40 mile an hour winds whipping around us keep us fairly comfortable in the 90 degree heat.
This is Joanne’s text to her friend:
Tonight’s RV park where we’re staying is basically dry Texas dirt right next to the highway. There is electric though and a hose for water. No nice bathroom… just a porta potty. But the porta potty is really clean and doesn’t smell bad so that’s good.
Lots of driving today. Stopped in San Antonio to see the Alamo but could hardly get near it. It’s in the downtown area, no parking and lots of construction. Pat gets 5 gold stars for navigating rush hour traffic in a huge car pulling a trailer.
Stopped in Del Rio TX and got a nice BBQ dinner on the way to this RV park.
Time for bed.
