Many don't realize that the Pelvic floor is part of your Core. Think of your trunk as a tote bag holding all of your organs. Your Pelvic Floor is the bottom of your tote bag. It needs to be strong enough to hold the above contents in without fallling out, but supple enough to be able to more with your movement. You might have a pelvic floor which is too tight (often causing pain and discomfort) or you might have a pelvic floor which is too loose (think prolapse or leaking of urine). We'll discuss both and practice poses which are good for one or the other or both. Most yoga poses can be beneficial for both. We'll tap into our breath to pair our breath diaphragm with our pelvic floor diaphragm.
