The Pelvic Floor is the "floor" which holds up all of the contents of the abdominal-pelvic cavity. It is made up of 2 hammocks which criss cross each other. One hammock goes from pubic bone to tailbone/sacrum and the other hammock goes from side to side (to simplify it a bit). Some experience an overly taught pelvic floor and on the other hand, some have an overly saggy pelvic floor. This complex group of muscles need to be strong but flexible. Supple!
