It’s been a long but fun day, Some slept a few hours and some didn’t. 12 ½ hour time difference so completely turned around! Cooked to order breakfast, counting out change for large Indian bills, passing out documents then off to the pharmacy to get detol to wash our papaya (which we also bought) and then we found the Mother Dairy for the divine “Misthy Doi” (Thick, rich, Carmel like yogurt). Then we walked back to our hotel to pick up the late sleepers and took off for Jan Path—the main shopping area for tourists where we bought out the Handicraft Emporium for clothes, and gifts etc then went across the street to buy a variety of cool flowy pants and tops for the heat. The bewildering experience of finding our way back on the Metro was an adventure and challenge. Thank goodness Stephanie has gotten used to the New York Subways and powers through even though she can’t read the signs in Hindi! We enjoyed the cooling of the evening on the roof top terrace before dinner and then scarfed the buffet curry, lentil, rice, roti dinner. Another challenge with getting everyone on WhatsApps on my Indian SIM card phone, meeting with our travel agent and I am saying...”Are we done yet?!?!” I think I’ve been up since we left Madison with a 30 minute nap leaving Amsterdam! Good night! What a terrific group we have! I think we are having a blast so far!
