Your abdominal cavity has a roof (diaphragm) and a Floor (pelvic floor) upon which all of your organ rest. The Pelvic Floor is made up of 2 perpendicular 'hammocks' of muscles--one from the pubic bone to the sacrum/tail bone and the other from one side to the other. Depending on a person's own characteristics, one may have a 'saggy hammock' or a 'tight/taut hammock'. What we want is to cultivate strength with suppleness. We will work with breath and poses to build a more healthy pelvic floor.
